Neko! Male! Reader x Mikasa (2/?)

A/n: If I messed up the storyline, characters, etc. I’m very sorry for what I am doing. I’m still a beginner on this anime.

It’s been quite a long time since I met with Hanji. Ever since I can remember, she would always take care of me. I always like the way of how she is when like science, despite I’m not a scientist or a Titan lover. She would tell me stories of other Cat people, like me, are somewhere at the outside walls. I felt comfortable with some people, mostly Hanji and Levi. Since I started to turn 8, those two will always help me out if I having a problem or so. Hanji would be the one teaching me the normal stuff like Math, English, science, etc. (Idk if that’s in that past). And she also let me have something if I wanted and somewhat I asked for a lot of stuff. Levi can sometimes be a pain, but I do adore him even if he’s teaching me self-defense or he would sometime make clean which I sometime like to do when I’m not bored.

Anyway, I was walking the office as usual. I always walk by to any of the officers and give them a nice hello greeting with a smile. Some of them were always wondering where I came from or where did I get my Cat ears which doesn’t bother me most of the time. As I walking around to check if there were anything cool to do, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I looked back at who tapped my shoulder to see Hanji. “Hey there, Neko Lancer,” Hanji said to me as I smiled at her. Oh yeah… Did I mention that since I was with Hanji, at age 9, she let me do some training with the cadets and somehow I was one of the top 10 people of being good and I had the title “Neko Lancer” for a long time? “Hi there, Hanji,” I greeted to her with my nice smile, “Is there anything you want from me?” “Well,” Hanji explained, “Levi wants to talk to you. He said it’s something important.”

“Alright then,” I said after I said good bye to Hanji and headed to Levi’s office. As heading to the office, my mind began to wonder why am I a neko and why am I the only one who does have kitty ears. I was so into my mind that I accidently bumped into someone as they fall to the ground. “Oops sorry,” I said, “I wasn’t looking where I was going.” “Tch,” the familiar voice said, “Be careful where you are moving, brat.” I see that I accidently bumped into Levi as he gets up and dust off his clothing, and seriously though, I don’t like being called a brat. “Again so sorry, Heichou,” I apologies to Levi, “Anyway, is there anything you want from me?” “Actually yeah,” He said, “I need you to go to the Shiganshina District for now and observe what’s going on. Some of the Survey Corp members are there and I want to know how many are there. Are you up for it?” I nodded at Levi and salute to him.

I headed to my room and grabbed a couple of stuff with me. I brought my wristband, that was a present from Hanji, my (Fav! Color) cloak, and my own personal 3DMG with a rose symbol on the side. The 3DMG I have wasn’t like the other ones, this was very special in my point of view. In fact, it has 4 blades instead of 2 blades. Well anyways, I never been to Shiganshina District before, but I hope something good or bad will come up.

-timeskip to Shiganshina District-

‘Finally I’m here,’ I thought to myself as I arrived at the Shiganshina District. I have my hood on cause I don’t like people looking at me weirdly or that what I thought it was. I jump to the rooftops and headed toward the entrance where there are all the titans are at. Jumping to the entrance, I already see a couple of people at the entrance, lining up on either side of each building so the soldiers can go back to base. Before it started, I scan around the people who are going to see the Survey Corp. As I scan around the people, I see something that caught my eye. It was boy and a girl, and seeing them gave me this odd feeling in me.

‘it could be a friend,’ I thought as I see the Survey Corps, I see how much are wounded. I hate when I see the wounded. It’s a bad feeling when seeing them. I then see an old woman going up to Keith asking where her son is and one of them shows something in white cloth. It reveals to be a bloody arm of the old woman’s son. I felt disgusted when I saw the arm of a dead solider, it sort of sucks when we lose a solider. She asks him if he served well and aided humanity's cause even in the least bit, forcing him to break down as well and admit that all their missions have ended in failure and that he has nothing to show for all the deaths under his command. I hate when this seeing the innocent being sad because of them.

It’s times to make my entrance.

“Keith,” I shouted at him, jumping from the rooftops and landed safely on the floor, glaring at him. “N-n-n-neko Lancer,” He stutter, “What are you doing here?!” “Someone wanted to check how much people were still alive and some that are wounded,” I said to him, walking closer to the two, “I never expect seeing all of this happened. I thought you were better than this, Keith. Don’t take out that feeling out on the old lady. Just head to base and rest for a while. I’ll take it from here and then I’ll meet you later for more talk.” He looked down and headed to base. I look at the old woman and said, “Ignore my comrade for making you feel like this. I’m sorry that your son is dead, but I’m sure that his soul is in a better place. Please, believe that your son is in a better place and you soon will be there with him.” The old woman smile and said to me, “Thank you for making me feel better, child. I will believe that he’s in a better place.” I smiled. “Well,” I said, “if you excuse me, but I got to head back to somewhere and report.” In a blink of an eye, instantly I headed to the boats to head home, but stop at my tracks.

As I head back in some alley way I hear laughter, like bully laughter. I follow the sound of stupid people laughing and I see 3 taller boys picking on a short, blonde boy. I used to be bullied like the blonde, until I broke one of the soldier’s right leg when training. It looks like they don’t notice me, so I did what I had to do, beat them up for bullying.

In an instant, I ran straight for the first guy, who is holding the short one, and jump kick his face, releasing the shorter one. The other two look surprise, but it doesn’t look like they run, so they both throw a punch at me. “Big mistake,” I said, blocking the two blows. I was so ready to hurt them until someone said, “Hey you!” I look from where the voice came from. I then see a brunette boy and a raven-haired girl running down to where I was at. Before the bullies can do anything, like they think they’re tough, I push their knuckles away from me and then did a roundhouse kick at their face, sending them to the first boy. “I dare you to touch him again and see what happens,” I angrily said to the three, glaring darkly at them as they run off somewhere.

I looked back at the blonde and asked, “Hey, are you ok?” He nodded at me and I looked to the two beside me. They seem surprised; maybe I learn some skills from Levi I guess. “Wow… that was awesome,” the brunette boy said, “You must be the Neko Lancer we saw earlier.” I smile at him. “That’s right,” I said, “but, I guess everyone must know who’s the Lance is. Anyway, let me tell you my real name. The name is (Y/N) (L/N). What’s your name, friend?” “The name is Eren Jager,” The brunette boy, or Eren, said to me, “This is my adoptive sister, Mikasa,” pointing to the Raven, “And the one you saved from the three bullies is, Armin Arlert,” pointing to the blonde. “Nice to meet you all,” I said to them all with a smile.

They are all talking to me about how they all met while walking to somewhere, mostly Eren and Armin, but I sometimes glance at Mikasa. I have this strange feeling inside me when I look at her, but it has to be something good at least. As we all sit by the river, Armin explains the source of his assailant's anger: Believing, as Eren does, that humans eventually need to explore beyond the wall, effectively renders him a heretic in the eyes of the public as the government has declared any interest in the outside world a taboo. I nod in each explanation, but then again, I thought about the time I look at the outside seeing the titans at the fields.

Just as things were about to go somewhere else, a big thump from the floors cause the four of us to be in the air for a quick second and back to the floor. What I didn’t notice is that my hood just got off my head, revealing my (Hair! Color) cat ears. All three looked at me, but then we heard another thump. We all ran into the open streets, wondering what is going on. “What’s that,” Armin yelled out, pointing to the top of the walls. I looked up and see a hand of a somewhat 60 meter Tall Titan appears above the walls. I wasn’t scared for some reason, but the rest of the people were. At that moment the titan lifts its leg and kicked the wall, making a hole inside the wall. The remnants of the crushed wall were flying somewhere. And at that moment… the titans came. I then see Eren and Mikasa running somewhere, and I followed them. As I followed them I see a boulder that landed at a house. Eren screamed loud, knowing that something is very wrong. I then see his mother pinned under the rubble. “Mikasa, (Y/n),” Eren yelled, “Help me out here!” We helped, but with our combined strengths, we couldn’t able to lift the rubble. Eren’s mother was arguing that he should run with Mikasa, but he decline and try to lift the house up. After more pleading from Eren’s mom and a titan that is coming toward the house, Hannes, the drunk Eren mentioned about, arrives to the scene.

Eren’s mom beg Hannes to take the children and run, but Hannes said, “I got this. I’ll take them down,” and head straight for the titan. As he charges the Titan towering above the family homestead, he suddenly stops, horrified at the frightening appearance of this Titan. He withdraws his blade and runs, grabbing the two children, but me, and starts to run. I followed and looking back, I already see the mother just get eating by the titan. My soul snapped, all of anger is rising, but I have to wait for a bit long. I flashbacked went through my mind and then I see a dead man and a dead woman beside me. I stopped, but I was close to the boats. My mind went flying with this nonstop memory in my head. I shake it off and started walking through the crowd I watch as the boats sail away leaving many panicking from the attack. “Please let them on the boat!” turning to the voice you run over despite running on the edge of the dock. “What’s going on here,” I asked. “(M/n),” Hannes said to me, “please you must let Mikasa and Eren onto the boats!” I looked over to see Eren and Mikasa shocked. “When is the next boat coming,” I asked to some shaken soldiers. “It won’t come back until another 5 minutes, Neko Lancer!” one answered, pushing some of the crowd further back.

‘Crap,’ I thought, ‘they’ll never make in time! Well, their no choice but to fight them back.’ “Make sure those boats goes faster,” I order them as I take out my four swords. Using the 3DMG, I flew towards two rushing Titans. In quick speed, I kicked one of the two titans in the stomach, went around, and cut its nape of the neck. The second saw this and tried to hit me, but I release two of the four blades and it hits its eyes and did the same thing as the last one. As time passes on, the boats came and most of the people, including went in. I head straight to the boats and jump on one of them. After, escaping from the horrible incident, I panted, kneeling down on one knee. The last titan got me good. I felt pain throughout my right arm, most of it is scratches. This won’t be good when I get back…

-Timeskip to Levi’s Office-

“WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU,” Levi yelled at me as I came to the office.  “B-bad news, Levi,” I stuttered, “I was going to head back to base, but then a giant titan came and broke the walls, making the titans go in. Most of the people ran, but not all…” “Tch,” He said, “I should’ve known that would happen. I thank you for giving me this information. But for now, you should rest right now. After that... I need to train you better next time.”

I nodded and headed off to my room. When I got there, I dropped whatever I had on me and fell on my bed. My mind race through everything I saw with my eyes. To the wounded soldiers to Eren, Armin, and Mikasa, to the titans, and then the battle. I think I wasn’t ready, but at least I survive with minor injuries. I closed my eyes and before I slept, a question past  thorugh my head: “Am I good enough to protect Eren, Armin, and especially Mikasa?”
